I Would Rather Sleep
53I Need Sleep
Once would be enough
Just a moment for my brain to let go of yesterday's activities would be an amazing achievement at 02.49. Constantly I find myself in the same position at my desk, with the television quietly repeating this week's Game Shows. Not that I'm actually listening to them but without them the silence seems to re-activate my brain to its typical pictorial storage space.
Howling Pussy
Only a few hours ago, after several, trying to locate my wandering ball of fluff in the rear gardens, did I finally catch a glimpse of him clawing his way to the top of the 6 foot fence to the right of what I thought was his territory. Little did I know he had managed to claim a fair bit in the few weeks since next door's Cat moved with his owner.
What do I see? There he is perched like a stranded Raccoon on the fence with a bushy tail and hackles up ready for battle. Off he shoots out of sight. With this I go and follow him, only to find this pint sized nutter face to face with an unknown cat. Howling! I never heard anything like it.
Let It Pass By. You Rat!
Its as clear as day the unknown was heading home to settle for the evening and how dare she take this route through the middle of a marked territory. I say she as it looked female.
Out came the howling again. "Owww Owwww Owwwwwww", "Oh shut up and come here" I tell him. The unknown grouching to the floor and looking petrified. "Owww Owwww Owwwwwww" yet again came his chant. "BUTTON IT" he's told, as I grab him by his collar. With the most disgusted look on his face he turns to me and howls yet again "Nooooooooooooooooooooow". Well that's it, 8 months from the first day he turned up in a basket as a cute as could be and now he's learnt how to answer me back with no.
Sleep Deprivation
I'm far too old and hard working to be up till this stupid hour when I have work in the morning, well in 4 hours as it happens. I need sleep, badly.
What will happen tomorrow? Yet another day of Loony Tune and his patrolled extended area. I'm sure he will manage to pick on the next placid creature who dares to venture through.
Early Hours Screaming... coming when I log back in. The creepiest moment I've ever experienced. Spine chilling beyond the norm which scared the living daylights out of my neighbours and myself.
